The car idles really low and i think the idle is already turned up because i can hear the intake sucking alot. When I tap the gas it first dips down like a hesitation then it will go up and accelerate like normal. It always happens from an idle...like at a stop light taking off, if you accelerate alot it wont be bad but normally it will want to hesitate when taking off. The cluster doesnt even show it idling, it just sits at 0 then it will jump up like it was kinda stuck down there... anyone have these type of problems and figure out what it was...all input welcome thanks for your help

put more foot on the gas and less on the clutch

 

hook up a tach to see what you're idling at. probably could use a tune up.

 

i have exactly the same problem on my b16a. but mine got worst, it actually stalls now. when idling, it goes up and down. but when i tap the gas now, it would go all the way down to 100, then stalls. its really annoying me and its stressing me out. i cant figure out what was wrong with mine. recent mods ive done to the engine was changed my ecu into a mugen chipped ecu, adjusted valves, tighten the throttle cable, tightend the timing belt cuz it wasnt tight, messed with the vacuum lines. thats it. no major mod, but something is really messing up the ride.

 

try tightening the throttle cable first, worked for me

 

nah...i'd rather fix it than try to hide a problem

i already did as tune-up, it really helped in other areas, gas mileage performance, etc... i changed plugs, plug wires, cap & rotor, valve adjustment , timing belt, timing, fuel filter,& fuel injector cleaner

I'm gonna mess with the throttle cable and see if that helps, thanks for the input

Check your timing, it sounds like it is a little retarded. If you advance your ignition timing it will idle higher and accelerate better.
