Default Crazy Valve spring Idea q's

Was just wondering if/would this work. Seeing all B series have dual intake springs and single exhaust springs. Is it possable to do this.....Take a set of dual intake springs and use them on the exhaust side, say you have a xtra set of intake spring/retainers. Was wondering if this has ever been done or thought about. I have a xtra LS head and will yank the intake springs from it and put them in my B16 head. Just a crazy Idea. If I'm stupid for asking, let me know.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but LS heads have single valvesprings on both the intake and exhaust sides. As far as using the intake dual valvesprings on the exhaust side, it has been done by many wanting to save some money when upgrading thier valvetrain on thier dohc vtec heads. You can swap the intake valvesprings over to the exhaust side and put in the ITR dual intake valvesprings. (this is if you are installing type r cams and valvesprings). Hope this helps some.

yeah thats where I got the Idea. They said use the ITR intake springs on the exhaust side and still use the orginal intake springs because the valves are too heavy for the ITR dual springs. Ok I see now. I missunderstood something I read a while ago. your right the LS is only single springs, crap. I thought a B-series were dual springs on the intake side, apparently only V-tecs. What if I did this, got just the inner valves and retainers really dont want to buy xtra springs that I dont need. Guess I'm being cheep.

yeah not planing on going over 9k. May at a later time go with larger cams though I've heard of people having problems with the larger cams and single springs, ok big problems like ITR cams on the exhaust side thats why I was wondering about dual springs

No see I thought that the LS head had dual springs when infact is only single on the intake...opps so I was wondering if I got some inner springs say from another B16 and retainers for dual springs would that be a logical idea for dual exhaust springs??

B16 sorry, was going to leave the factory intake spring as normal and add the inner springs on the exhaust side
