Default Using an OBD-0 engine....

I will be swapping in a 90 b18a engine into my 92 hatch. I know that the injectors and dist. have to be changed. Now for the question: Ive heard you can just modify the OBD-0 dist. to run with OBD-1. Is this true? Anyone done this? And how is the outcome? TIA.
