170hp..
you need turbo if you want to see those numbers.

how do you explain bisi's 1.5 na pumping around 270whp i believe. but for the streets, it would be alot of work, most likely force induction. depends how much money you are willing to spend.

To make 170hp the only really "steetable" and "affordable" setup would be a turbo.
personally id just swap...the d15 is pretty weak. You would be much better off with a d16/turbo or b-series.

wow, a whole lot of misinformation in this thread....
1. anthony m. : dont post crap about someones engine if you dont know... its actually less than 1.5... not more... try 1.4 give or take a little. and its more than 14:1 cr... thats all irrelivant to the subject though
(no offence, just dont post garbage)
2. some of you butt heads dont get it. the gsr sports a 1.58 r/s the d16 has 1.52 not much of a difference... the d15 with vx rods has a better r/s than a gsr engine. dont hate the d series. (agian irrelivant, just making a point)
andwrong: to answer your q... yes its possible, and it will cost you less than a swap, but its a lot more work and you need to know your *** from a hole in the ground. (again not meant to be taken personally)
go to the d series forum and read man... if you want to build thats where you will find a ton of info, without all the haters.

I doubt Bisi's engine is only 1.5 liters. Try adding 2-3 tenths...
Anyway, 1.5 liter engines have just as much potential as 1.6 liter engines. It's a matter of finding the right ppl to help you. This is who Bisi uses:

i might be making a total *** out of myself, but isn't bisi running like 18:1 CR? i know that sounds rediculous, but thats what ive always heard.....
their is a guy down here that resleevd his d series to fit stock integra rods and pistons. he did a mini-me this way. he has i/h/e and a port pollish job done by a dremel and he it putting out a lil more then 170whp. he resleeved to 81. yeah.. i know. bad *** mini-me ahe??
that would make it into a d19 with all that stroke an bore wouldnt it?? somewhere around there...

Also, a number of people are pushing 170whp on a d-series NA. So you don't need a turbo to see it, and plenty of people are over 200whp w/turbo.
People keep looking down on the d-series, but you can make a d-series faster than a b-series for less than the cost of the swap.

nice. what turbo are you runnin?
