damn...I'm kinda thinking about this...
waht do you suggest tony? buy your spool or wait for a quiaffe?

those spools are highly reccommend for drag only i rather pass on it and get quaifes... even kenny uses the quaife ask art as well what he thinks but if you are on budget the pro drive spools will work
For a car that will be driven on the street at any point, I would recommend the quaiffe. The only downside to a spool at the track is if an axle breaks it will pull the car to the opposite side. If you run a spool I highly recommend you run a good set of axles. 75% of the racers out there run spools. Can't beat it if you're on a budget...

one question
most axles will break off they line right? So it shouldn't be that bad will it? Have you guys ever experienced a broken axle towards teh end of the track?

I don't know anyone who's actually found the "limits" of the type r diff. What kind of power do you plan to make and what size slicks do you plan to run?
It should be good enough, but i'm not promising anything
Has anyone on here broken one? What conditions did they break in? I'm curious too.
