those spools are highly reccommend for drag only i rather pass on it and get quaifes... even kenny uses the quaife ask art as well what he thinks but if you are on budget the pro drive spools will work

For a car that will be driven on the street at any point, I would recommend the quaiffe. The only downside to a spool at the track is if an axle breaks it will pull the car to the opposite side. If you run a spool I highly recommend you run a good set of axles. 75% of the racers out there run spools. Can't beat it if you're on a budget...

yeah, I know the outcome of a broken axle with a spool already

I'm getting rid of my stage 3 DSS adn getting stage 5...

one question

most axles will break off they line right? So it shouldn't be that bad will it? Have you guys ever experienced a broken axle towards teh end of the track?

most axles break off the line, but it's happened before going down the track. I don't think you'll have a problem with the dss stage 5's. That's about the toughest axle you can get that fits a stock diff...

The car will still lauch and pull real hard towards the wall even in first. The lanes are not that wide and its hard to react and control the car. I remember seeing the berganholtz car along time ago break a axle and the car smacked the wall.

You ever see that video with Chris Rado's axle broke when he hit second gear and he did a 180 on the track. That was scary stuff.

I don't know anyone who's actually found the "limits" of the type r diff. What kind of power do you plan to make and what size slicks do you plan to run?
