ok, now I'm in round 2 of this thing - I need some help getting the 8-pin connector in the driver side wired, what wires go in and out??

also what do I do with the B15 and b17 pins on the obd0 plug??? they're both ignition output signals, the obd1 uses pin a21 for the icm [ignitor?]
one of the charts I saw said run a22 to the b17 pin, but a22 [obd1] has no function? I need to get my friend's car started like yesterday, can someone help 'splain it to me, thanks much appreciated.

are you talking about the connector with the yel/blk wires with the cap on it? if so you will have one wire that goes to it that came fom the injector resistor. 4 wires that will go to your injectors and one wire that providees power for the heated o2. all 6 of these wires should be yel/blk.
Pin B17 will go to pin A22 on the OBD1 ecu. The other end of that wire should go to the yel/grn wire on the distributor. B15 goes to A21 on the OBD1 side and I am pretty sure that that wire goes to the white distributor wire.

hmm, thats my issue there - every obd1 pinout I've ever looked at doesn't mention A22, yet most of these charts have a22 located... my problem is that the injectors are staying "on" all the time, no spark to the ignitor [a21 seems to go to the yellow/green wire on dist], a22 has no function so I dunno whats going on there... someone plz clue me in here
