Default Mid Swap Help!!! b18b in EK hatch

K everything is going great and swap is almost done just got a few questions its a 99 LS obd2 going into my obd2 civic using my dx harness:

1) Old Passenger side axle won't come out from the Hub side, I got the Nut out already and I tapped it lightly with a hammer, even used a pry bar wont come out.

2) Do I need to repin anything on the ECU

3) I got brand new LS axles but they got the ABS rings on em do I need to remove em? Or can just slap em on there?

Thanks in advance. Gonna finish this up tomorrow so I need help

The axles tend to get rusted inside of the hub splines. Make sure to remove the tranny side first if you haven't already and then pound it out with a hammer. Spray some WD40 inside to loosen it up some.

did you lift the ball joint off the lower control arm?
if u did just pound the axle out, it should come out.

wiring info: http://tech.hybridgarage.com/tech/6gtech/index.html

leave the abs rings on your new axles.

you need to take off the ABS rings because your car dont have ABS. use a flat head and a hammer and tap it off. i did that when i put new axles in.

your stock harness should work, my 98 LS motor plugged right is but i used an OBD1 ecu to make it work

pound the **** out of your axles to break em loose. WD40 alwasy help, spray and let soak

I peiced it out so it took a while like a month or so just to get the parts but I spent about $1000-1100 for full swap. Its 99 B18b. I am in NYC and there are alot of LS motors around here going for real cheap, I've seen OBD1 b18b's go for like $800-900 for full swap. Thanks for the reply fellas wish me luck gonna take the Sledge hammer to it today. LOL. Lata.

A little warning about using the sledge hammer. Be very careful not to "mushroom" the end of that axle. You may flatten it to a point where it cannot slide through the hub. The same thing happened to me so I used a grinder to grind off the part that was "mushroomed". Well, goodluck

Don't forget to repin a12 and a14. What year is the car??? If it is 96-98 cx or dx you will throw code 91. All ex 96-00 or 99-00 dx or cx will not have this problem. It is because the car is not wired for the ptank sensor in the gas tank. You can also use any 96 ls ecu or any jdm ls ecu and not throw the code.

Its a 98 Cx so where do I repin a12 and a14 to? Or do I do a12 TO a14? And how can I prevent throwing a code? I am using a 98LS obd2 ECU.

Yes you will throw code 91. You need to switch a12 and a14 on the ecu side. Might be the other way around, regardless one has a wire going into it the other doesn't. Just switch position.

You will still throw a code. If you switch the wire then you will not throw code 14 witch is the iacv. If you do not switch the wire the car will not idle when cold. Only way to get rid of the code 91 is get a 96 LS ecu, any LS jdm ecu, or get a new gas tank with a ptank sensor in it and a new evaporative canister with the purge valve in it.

if you use a obd2 LS ecu it will still throw the code? what do you mean repin a12 and a14? you repin on the LS ecu correct? you use the LS axles in this swap right?

if you use 99+ integra ecu in the car it will throw a code for fuel tank pressure sensor, which did not exist on 94-98 integras. IAC wiring at the ECU is the only thing that needs to be changed if you're using your stock civic harness on the motor. good luck.

if its 99+ only, then how come 97 hb has a 98 ls swap and he has the code? also, how do you do the wiring at the ecu? repin or move or whatever. how do you actually do that? and this is on the LS ecu correct?

I have a 98 and it throws the code. This code is non-existent on any jdm obd2 ecu.
