ok when i shift from 2nd to 3rd above 4000 rpm's it grinds but it still goes into gear....it does the same thing from 3rd to 4th......but it doesnt do it from 1 to 2 or from 4 to 5......be being a newbie(only 16) i thought it was the clutch but was later told it is the tranny because it doesnt do it in every gear.i have also been told that the gs tranny in a 90 teg has the longest gear ratios....so what should i do from here.what tranny would be best for a n/a car.no big plans for the near future. also i plan to put a new clutch and flywheel in while the tranny is out.....what parts will mix and match with the b18b(90 integra gs)

Ok, if its in a 90 GS, that means its a cable tranny. If you are staying NA, that I would look for a used, JDM YS1, a used JDM Y1 or a USDM YS1. All three are great, short geared trannies, that would be perfect for a everyday setup. And while you are at it, why not swap in a clutch and flywheel combo. http://www.password.jdm sells the J1 and YS1 trannies for a really good price, but they are currently out of stock. I am waiting for the YS1 to come in, so I can replace my shitty one also.
