i am looking at a 95 civic dx coupe right now and i was hoping if anyone could help me out.

pretty clean.
NO accidents
Clean title.

the person is asking 4500. do you think this is a fair offer?? for this years civic what should i look out for, in terms of damage or anything i should be aware of.

and on a side note, how hard and costly is it to PS in this? thanks all for any help.

i think the car is a good deal
it won't be too much to put ps and ac in if you really need it. just try to find a wrecked car and grab the ps rack and ac out of it

 

well the way i look at it is.... your going to swap anyway right? so more than likey if you jsut find a car with up near a 100k that has everything and looks just as good, it will be less expensive and you can put that other cash towards the swap ...

but yeah if your looking at keeping the stock engine go for it

 

yea, the mileage is good for that year, try to talk him down though. 4500 is still a little too much for a dx.

well before i could get a chance to see the car, the bastard sold it.

now im looking at a 93 dx 4 door coupe.

many dents
slight tear in drivers side seat
slight tear in appholstery
and the engine bay is disgusting.

i offered 2200. but i doubt they will take that offer.

yup.

i just edmunds and they give it a selling price of 23XX. so hopefully i can get this car for around 2200-2300. but i am thinking there is gonnna be alot of maitenance that will have to be done. witha 90K motor im looking at:

t-belt, water pump
maybe clutch (depending)
headgasket
pads
dist, rotor

thats looking like close to a grand right there..... i think i should just keep looking???

and im not looking to swap...just drive the hooptie as an everyday car. gas here is like $2.20 now and the r is killing me.

I'm fr. CA, so unless it's a track car, A/C is a MUST for me.

 

4dr sedan... well i bought mine for 2800 (94dx coupe) two years ago... i thought it was a good deal until i found out that it had a blown head gasket and he had put that liquid sealant that just corroded my heater core and gave me more of a problem... JUST BE CAREULL with prices.....
