When I sell my current car I will either be able to buy an EG for $900 with lots of dents and bad paint and drop in a b18c5 or get a small loan on an EK and drop in a b18c5.

 

i vote EK because they are a lot nicer and better looking IMO

 

I think that if you fixed up the dented EG Civic and gave a new paint job I think it'll look way nicer, but I'd have to say that the EK Civic has the better interior. Just my opinion.

Interior is easily changed... I have 92 - 95 lude seats in my eg and they are the most comfortable seats EVAR! they are just like sparcos.. sooo comfy.. mmm

 

deff make a sleeper from hell, go b18c5 in an egg and keep stock rims do it up

Get a c1. Build it and turbo, you will make generally the SAME power.

Nope. If you build and turbo both platforms, they will perform generally the same.

The c5 was not built for turbo, it was made for N/A.
The c1 is the best boostable Honda engine IMO

 

i guess we are on 2 different pages. im not talking about boost, and nowhere in this guys post did it say he was going to boost the engine. but in that case, i would agree the GSR motor would be a better client.

 

You assume that with time he is going to want to do bigger and better things.

In the long run the c1 will be your best bet.

 

assuming can get you in trouble. just because YOU like boost, doesn't mean everyone else does. personally, i don't like it because it cuts engine life short, and IMO isn't as fun as n/a. plus gas milage, which is a big issue for me. different strokes for different folks.

I never said I like boost.

In fact I don't. I have turbo lag. I would much rather have a high compression built NA motor that go boost.

But, if he want's a sleeper, boost is the way to go. It's cheap comapred to NA and just as effective.

depending on boost..yep your right..a c1 at 15psi would walk all over a c5 at 4psi ..

 

if you're going to eventually build your motor, you should get a C1. but if you don't really plan on upgrading anything than you should get the C5.

 

Since when does everyone end up boosting a motor?

A GSR motor is a good base, but no where near the value of an ITR motor when it comes to what you get.

Oh yeah I forgot about the extra 25 hp it gets from being called Type-R.

It's the most overrated motor in the tuning world today.

h22 is half the price and 3x better.
