is there any reason why the 90 flywheel, 88 clutch and 90 pressure plate would not work with the 88 tranny. the clutch cable pulls but it doesn't disengage the clutch. i think the clutch is just bad. but my friend thinks the stuff just doesn't match up.
yes, the 88 clutch is 200 mm, the 90 flywheel is for a 212 mm clutch, so, i would say you need to get an 88 or 89 flywheel, because you need an 88 clutch, because they have different spline counts than 89,90, and 91.
but wait.. for the 88Si tranny
if you have:
90 flywheel--------------212mm
90 pressure plate
88si clutch (21spline) --200mm
the only thing is the clutch wont cover/grab the whole flywheel.
but it should all bolt in and grab. but why? less holding grip i would suppose?
I'm using on my 88Si tranny:
90 flywheel ---------------------------------212mm
90 pressure plate
89 Accord clutch (21spline) since its -----212mm

i was also told that ACT makes a kit for 88si trannys with 90+ flywheels.. with a HD pressure plate and HD 21 spline 212mm clutch disk.
which would be a stronger PP prolly same as the other 90+ kits and a beefier 212 21 spline disk most likely.
