The Honda of Japan list the power of the rsx(integra) type r as 220ps and the civic type r as 215ps. So I know the civic motor isn't a USDM type s motor but it has to have something different than the rsx type r? maybe ecu tuning? They have the same displacement and compression ratio. Maybe it is a type r motor but with type s cams? Anybody know?

What the hell are you talking about there are only 4 K-series motors

K20A ITR
K20A2 RSX-S and CTR
K20A3 RSX Base and Civic Si
K24?? CRV and TSX

What makes them different heads, intake manifolds, headers, ECU exhaust, cams, intake springs, compresion ratio, rod ratio, displacement (K24), I-VTEC possibly.

The JDM Civic R is 215hp - See http://www.honda.co.jp/auto-lineup/civic-r/grade-data/ K20A
The UK spec is 200hp - See http://www.hondacivictype-r.com/details.html K20A2
The JDM ITR is 220ps - See http://www.honda.co.jp/auto-lineup/integra_r/grade-data/ K20A
The NZ Spec Integra R is 200 - See http://www.honda.co.nz/ K20A2
The RSX-S is 200hp - See http://www.acura.com/models/model_sp...asp?module=rsx K20A2

O.K?

Ok, both the JDM CTR and ITR both have the K20A engine in them but something has to be different. Otherwise they would have the same hp. My question is does anybody know exactly what seperates them to give the ITR more hp?

GreenR- What are you talking about? I never said anything about honda having more than 4 k series motors. All I asked was if anybody knew the difference between the ITR and CTR (which does NOT have the type S motor in it).

prob a diff polishing method or the CTR's is destroked a lil like the old b16b.

I can tell you the JDM K20A's come with LSD, whereas the Euro CTR(which IS a Type S motor) K20A2 does not.
