im getting ready to get konig 15" heliums but what size tire

this is on a crx by the way the guy at tire discounters said get a 205 55 15 what do u guys think

or should i go wwith a 195 50 15

 

It depends on what you want, 205/55s will ride a little better and give you a bit more grip, 195/50s will ride a tad harsher and they aren't as wide. If it were me, I would go with 205/50/15....

 

actually the 205 represents the width of the tred... the 55 means that the tire wall is 55% of the width and of course the 15 is the rim size...

see i have to either get 205 55 15 or 195 50 15 because im getting the dunlop fm901 tire they dont make 205 50 15

 

I got 195/45 15 Yokohama AVS sport tires. They are a little lower profile that the 50 series. I think they look a little better too.

195/50r15 wont be as tall of a tire as the 205/55r15...

rule uf thumb when upsizing... Take the stock tire size, 185/60r14 (I think).
if you add 10 to the first number add 5 to the second number...

Sizes to use...
185/60r14
195/55r15
205/50r15

 

How did you add 5 to 60 and get 55?
