for the good e.t. thats quick for all motor si with a few upgrades. I though for sure you were running nawwwss before i read the car was gutted. good job, work on getting the 60ft to 2.1 and you will run about 14.00 or touch 13's.
this in a b16 right? just checking. the TB might be a little too big. 70mm? a smaller one such as 64mm should suffice. shortram are generally better for top-end especially in drag racing. 60 ft's definitely need working on. which CAI do you have? one for a civic? not sure on the diameter, but get a 3" diameter intake such as ones made for an ITR, if the one you have isn't.

holy smokes. 2.5 60 foots with drag radails?? my advise to you is practice launching your car right. we just went to a local track tonight and a car i built with a 1.8 liter gsr all motor ran 2.1 60 foot on full street tires. its all driver. you should be getting etleast the same if not better. good luck.
LuckyRacing...just wondering what track and times was the car running. Specs on the motor? I've heard a lot of great things about ur crew/team..much respect

well you know what i have a time slip to prove i'm doing 14.7 something...i forgot to pickup the slip for the 14.705 run but wrote down the info.
the car has no PS, no AC, removed passengerside headlight. You know what if a turbo Si were doing 14.5's that day and i was doing 14.7's i dunno you tell me.
sac raceway sucks if i shifted at redline my tires would have slipped through all of second gear.
STOCK B16
87,000ish miles on the clock
MOBIL 1 OIL ALWAYS
Car was for sale and i did say it was fast
running 11lbs rims.
i thikn the weight was 2265lbs. something around there With my friend in it it was lke 2500something so i told his fat *** to get the hell out.
skunk2 cam gears
full exhuast...
i dunno you guys tell me, my friend was pulling 2.3 60 foots at sears point last year with more weight and street tires with less power also.
hehe it ain't even my car but i got mad quik time with it.
the CAI is AEM for the Si i don't think it is 3inch but i will double check.
good tuning
new plugs
hahaha koukugen lug nutz!!! :D
i dunno don't believe me....lets run it?

don't belive me still...i was next to a wrx on a street race the whole time...that was with street tires, bad tuning state, old *** plugs, full interior, no ac no ps.
Congrats if you did run that time but without you even seeing the slip and it seeming too good to be true there is gonna be some level of doubt. 93-97mph? That's quite a big difference in trap speed to be unsure of.
Basicly you have a 2.6 60ft and a 14.7 in a Si with bolt on's and you didn't see the time slip. I'm not saying your wrong but run it again and post a time slip cause there is some doubts on that one

like i said, if u did it whoopie for u. the thing is i have a few more mods than that in my 00 B16 powered coupe. yes ur car could weigh upper 2200lbs w/o AC, PS and lighter rims. now that u have explained it more it sounds more reasonable. but what i dont give u merit for is because 2.5 and 2.6 60 fts dont equal 14.7 at such low MPH. i got many timeslips for reference of runs similar to what u said u ran. my GSR powered coupe ran 14.6s and 14.7s consistently w/ same trap speed as ur SI and with 2.0 60fts. it just all doesnt add up.
dont hate on sac raceway, the track is just fine you just suck at driving because its your first time out.

hehehe... yeah i still have to learn how to drive on the strip, it ain't like the streets one bit.
i saw the 60 when i was running the car...
if you don't belive me i can post up a 14.78something time slip if my friend hasn't thrown it away.
2265lbs according to sac's manual scale. I had reset the weights 3 times to tripple check the accuracy.
well if you guys want to go and hate on me....whatever i posted my info here not to be hated on but to see how i'm doing...
100 octane baybee! ehh more like 95 since it was with 91 octane mix.

oh i was launching funny because i didn't want to snap an axle...hahaha my friend said his car breaks them like twigs on the strip.
ever beat a 2001 mustang gt in 6 consecutive street races?
on street tires, stock throttle body, stripped from front seats back.
ughh correction... 2260lbs i just asked my friend. :D

2.5 60 ft's with high 14 second passes?
that of course would mean, your si with the above mentioned mods is more than capable of high 13's? so now you know why everyone is doubting you....

date was jaunary 5th, 2003... the car had a banged in driver side fender due to earlier accident. which is now repaired
if you were out that day you would remember the car we removed the headlight and super duct taped that headlight opening. hehehehe
car was first to run in the jackpot contest. my friend barely lost to a damn GSR powerd hatch. The guy got less than 0.10 to his dial in when my friend got a tad over 0.10...SUCKS!!!! yeah a girl won like i think 1,000 jackpot, i forgot.

i don't doubt the car can't break into the 13's even if it was 13.999.
its always being tuned constantly and we're starting to learn how to drive the at track. Its all about setting goals...my next goal is anywhere near 13.999 on a stock internals Si(b16a) with no headwork other than the itr cams.
stock ecu! :D

this supposed setup doesnt make sense at all. shitty 60s, a car thats stripped (missing about 350lbs) with little mods runnin 14.7 at lower MPH. i suppose its in the realm of possibility but i highly doubt it. im more skeptical of the 2200lb car than anything. i mean hatches (cx, dx,vx) with B16s pull mid 14s and thats with 2.2 60s. really hard to believe.

Jetta's are more aerodynamically slippery in comparison to Golfs and Beatles. Not saying that a coupe is more aerodynamic than a hatchback, just saying anything is possible.
I find this hard to believe as well....14's is a pretty good time, and a .9 sec reaction and a 2.6 60 foot is sad. How do you manage to pull off a run in the 14's leading off with something like that.
I have a dx, and it weigh around 2600+ and its modded, and I the best 1/4 I've run is a 16.3. Now, I know a dx is alot diff than an Si, but still.
Lets see some actual slips here.
