My crx rattles like crazy in the back. I think its where the trunk latches ( the 'U' bracket?). Do you guys have any ideas about how I can stop it. Its driving me crazy. Ive had the car 4 years and all the sudden its really bad.

wrap some electrical/duct tape around the U-shaped latch. at the bottom of the U. Not too much or your hatch will not close, it should stop some rattles/squeaks, but probably not all...

Try adjusting those two black stoppers out alittle.

when i had a crx, i packed the latch (the part the "U" hooks into) with bearing grease and it never made another noise. you just have to make sure not to let your sleeve touch the "U" when you open the hatch

also, buying anything other than a hatchback is just a bad idea. hatches are more space-efficient, so you can pack that guitar cabinet AND fit in that tight parking spot. besides, EF civic 4-doors aren't very tough looking.

 

The rattles and squakes mean it's talking to you...just listen...j/k...it is just part of having a hatch...

 

w/the hasport mounts my whole freakin car shakes and rattles...my gauge hood...dash...interior panels...etc...car squeaks in the back too...bass rattles everthying else not listed also...its old. its gonna make noise...its ok....i gave up on it...
