Default :::need help on motor swap:::

im plannin on buying this shell. my question is, if i bought a motor from http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...age&item=30006. would this give me the COMPLETE swap, where i can just swap this in and drive off with it... or do i have to buy more ****? Anyone out there in the southern california can hook me up with a b18c motor + installment for $3500.00??? and be able to drive off the shop with the nwe motor for 3500.00? please time is becoming crucial.. thanks

Looks like everything you'll need. It's with a P72 which will look for a KS. If it doesn't find one it'll light up your life...er dash. CEL.

...course it says it comes with all sensors, so that shouldn't be a problem. I'd just prefer a P28 meself, since the stock knock sensor is worthless. Good luck bro.

That's a list of the contents of a full swap. Will you need anything else? I dunno. Hondabond? New spark plugs? Adjustable FPR? Who knows, but those are all the major items.

thats all u need, u should be able to just drop it in and hook it all up and then check how it runs

thing u may want to change before install, water pump, timing belt, tranny fluid, oil, anything elese that would be easier to change with the motor out. depends on the milage on the motor.

demand... and the fact that preludes and accords are dogs in japan...

i dont have to pay so much for H22 equipped cars... and when i do... i can part out the rest of it and that pays for most of it.. therefore we dont need to charge so much for just the motor swap

Your not going to get that car rolling for 3500.00, you need alot more than that, dont read magazines its not a 3 step plan like they say it is. Your also gonna need a radiator, an fan the lowers tranny brackets, and motor bracket, and you might have to get a obd2 : obd1 conversion if you get a 96+ gsr motor plus labor to get it installed. Save about 1500-2000$ more and do it right if you half *** it it wont run as hard and will most likely have problems and or blow or break. If you live in southern cali email me at spoonsports@dr.com and ill give you the number to a few shops that can do it right.

Nobody here is going to know what's missing on your car, 'cept you. An engine swap is setup so you take your car...your COMPLETE car and swap the engine, tranny, and other things as needed(axels, ECU, shift linkage, distributor...). It's not meant for going to the junkyard and buying a shell that's been picked over for years and hoping for a running car. Where did your radiator go? What else is missing?
