i can get a tanabe exhaust for a really cheap price,the prob is its off a 88-91 hatch what exactly needs to be modified for it to fit under my rex?

 

I THINK it is a few intches too long between the 2nd and 3rd bends... some one correct me if i am wrong...

 

You're wrong...... I swapped an exhaust over from a my old wrecked hatch to a CRX. All I had to do was cut 7"(exactly) from the main center section....

i had bought a exhaust for my CRX that was universal from a 88-91 hatch and CRX and alls i had to do was hack a couple inches off for the rear tip to be sucked in under the bumper or else it would have stuck out like 5 inches.

 

I had to do just the opposite.. I bought exhaust for my car that ended up being for a 90 crx. I had to add 7" to the center section to make it fit.. I used a grease gun that was disassembled.. I cut the rounded end off and welded it to both sides of the pipe.. If i had a digicam i would show you pics.... lol

Works very well though

 

Just out of curiousity... how much can you get these tanabe exhausts for?

 

so 7'' needs to be cut from center section, thnx to repliers

How about the HKS exhaust, same 7 inches? Application:Civic exhaust to CRX.
