I adjust because i had a guy check it out and told me that i needed to adjust my valves because it was making a small annoying ticking noise.
Therefore I bought a feeler gauge and decided to adjust my valves.
I did it on a H23A1

Ticking could be your injectors too, but anyways why dont you open it back up and do it over again? I go through and re-check everything at least once before covering it back up.
did you make sure to put it at top dead center for #1 then adjust #1 vavles, then turn the crank all the way to tdc on #4 then adjust it? dont tell me you just set it once and adjusted all of them...

and another thing make sure that the car is dead *** cold, i did a valve adjustment when my car was still somewhat warm, and the car ticked to all beat hell. come to find out that on my number 2 cylinder the intake and exhaust valves were all over .25. so just make sure that the car is really cold i.e. right away in the morning or before you even start it up for the first time that day.
