Default Apexi WS/Spoon/Tokico/Tein SS for h22 civic coupe EK NO Auto-x

Kguys my budgest is around $1000. I dont take my car to autox at all. It will only see the 1/4 and thats it, no track racing. The h22 is heavy so I need a decent suspension. I know i can do better but i dont have 2-3k for toda . My choices are apexi world sport $890,spoon non adjustable $899,tokico illumina R $820,Tein SS $980. Help me decide on a pair and where can i get lower prices at, i got all this info including prices from modacar.com

For the price id go with the Teins..good quality, ride adjustable (the others are not except for the tokicos) and they can be rebuilt here in the states if needed.

I would choice koni OTS shocks.. with a custom GC spring setup..and possibly GC can help you make a better choice of spring rates...good luck

i have the ws and love them. Apexi quality is second to none IMHO. fit perfect and very good ride. Handling was MUCH improved over my old 5Way/HR combo. I like them. The teins are nice also. good quality also. i have seen a few sets on cars. look good and the drivers were happy

go with either tein or ws. cant go wrong either way. You could always get the ws and the pillow mounts for a few extra bucks.

I would have to agree here. All those setups you selected are non adjustable, so changing the stiffness is not an option. The Koni's are adjustable and with the GC's you can get custom spring rates. This combination will provide you with infinite possibilities. I know guys that run one set of springs for the street and then swap to a different set for the track.

This is turbosohc but under a new name. Anyways i just checked out http://www.modacar.com and under specials they list the spoon coilovers for $779. I just need to know if they will be able to handle a h22. Also i dont want to do gc and shocks I want the real deal.

Spoon Sports Non Adjustable Damper Kits - SALE!!!
. Front Drop 2.2. Rear DRop 1.7. Front Spring Rate 24k. Rear spring rate 28k.

Also whats the big deal if they are non adjustable? I car will be mostly 1/4 mile and thats it. Right now its between these or the apexi Ws. Tell me what you guys think?

I love my APEXi WS, they are good for street use, not too harsh a bit sportier ride. I would shop around, you can definitely find a better price on them though. I would not pay much more than 800. I got mine 790 local.

Road Racing suspension isnt for Drag. How many times do I have to tell you, get off the Fast abd Furious Spoon humping leg 1320 boy.

For Drag all you really need is some springs and shocks, unless you want to be able to adjust the height of the car then get some Ground Control coilovers...you can get custom spring rates to help with the weight and traction of your swap. Some nice Koni or AGX shocks should do the trick also. Have fun.
