OMFG, if this week couldn't get any better... Today, I went to swap my old injectors back on my ZC, and I dropped one of the spacers that go between the intake/mani and fuel rail. I have already done this, but put it back on b4 w/ only 2 spacers...

Desperate to get my car back together, I put the 1 spacer I had left in the middle, and proceeded to tighten my fuel rail back down

With the torque on each side, the fuel rail snapped in the middle like a teeter-totter w/ 2 fat kids on each side.. Now I don't have a fuel rail, and my car still isn't running..

Where the hell can I get a fuel rail for this thing? Can I use a fuel rail from any of the d16 engines (88-91 Civic/CRX-SI) or any of the 92-95 engines at all? If so, tomorrow I'll go to the junkyard and pick them up... If not, I'm going to kill myself...

i think the rail from teh a6 will work-correct me if I'm wrong...........

 

I'm not positive but I would say the a6 also, and if thats the case Z6 would also work they have the same holes for fuel rail. But definetly not the Y8's. you are aware they only torque down to 9 ft/lbs right....

Yeah, but the thing is that I'm putting the stock injectors back in after having 450cc injectors, and I didn't get new gromets...So the gromets on the bottom are a little big so I was tightening them down really tight to make sure they sealed...

That, combined with the spacer in the middle but not on the sides, well, yeah, we know the outcome

The A6 Fuel rail and injectors are the same as the DOHC ZC fuel rail and injectors.

 

dude, i got some gromets up at the shop on my spare mani too. let me nkow if you want htem..

Which ZC do you have?

SOHC = 88-91 D16 (civic)

DOHC = 88-89 D16 (integra)

 

DOHC, but will the a6 work w/ it, or just the Integra FR's?

With myDOHC black top CRX I used a d16a6 fuel rail..swapped it right over and never looked back..

 

The fuel from the A6 will be fine, but use your ZC injectors.

 

The injectors dont matter. There the same ZC/D16A6 and every other honda (excluding ludes). Only electronicly different Peak hold vs. Saturated

 

correct, a6 fuel rail will also work fine
