i just got my 88-91 b16a with a y1 tranny, i got it off this guy for 1,000, exceot it doesn't come with the ecu and the starter was taken off. but i think its a bad starter, because he had told me his friend had barrowed it but didn't put it back on.

soo i'm wondering if a b16a del sol motor would work..if not what kind then..also the hardware for connecting the starter to the tranny wasn't there, could i use my 91 si motor?

Try a 90-91 Integra starter. I think OBD 1 startes have different plugs.

or you can call steve @ hmotors and see if he will sell you a 1st gen b16 starter..
he is pretty cool and you will probably get a good deal...

 

dame i kinda need it asap, and i'm in va, from a 90 to 91 intergra would i get it for a ls or gsr?

 

Either one will work. I've even used one off a hydraulic tranny.

 

any b series starter will work .. you can use a LS starter .. b16 starter. cable tranny hydro tranny .. it doesnt matter.

 

the only problem is the core on reman starters, so it might be best to get one at a junkyard
