Someone stole my checkbook wrote mad checks, and no i have like no money in my account. peeps. please help a brother out, buy some of my stuff. or if you wanna be really cool and donate to the "Someone Stole Nicks Checkbook Fund" and donate some money to my paypal account, even if it were $1, it would help out. so like i said i have alot of stuff forsale, and i need to get rid of it. i planned on buying a house, and there was a good chunk of change in there. not no mo'. anyways if anyone is interested, im selling my truck too. here is a pic.

 

If it was not your signature on the cheques, then the bank is at fault. They are supposed to examine each cheque to ensure that it is not a forgery

 

yeah your not responsible for stolen checks man..go to the bank and the cops ASAP

yeah i know. the theif must have practiced using the carbon copy checks that i got. i have (had) carbon copy check books. they showed the checks to me, honestly it looks pretty close. dood bought **** at the adlt video store with it, and some other random things. a limo rental. all sorts of ****. i tired tracing the bastard downthrough his purchases, but it didnt work.

hey i just broke anyone that ones to give me money can....

 

but when you write a check, they need your driver ID number...if they dont show the DL, then it shouldnt have been rung up...then its the stores fault...id also go to the limo rental place, show them the check, and ask if they knew who wrote it, the way they looked, etc...

 

yeah i dont understand it. i know at times i just write my ID # on the check and they dont ask to see it. so hence the carbon copy's he/she has that too.

 

id still fight it, and go to the companies checks were written for, and ask to speak to a manager, and when they come, say you checks were stolen, and they were written without the use of checking yoru Driver ID...i think this could be a win for you if you have to go to court, id check with a lawyer too...

o/t, did you ever bring that truck to get an oil change at the Kingston walmart, it looks famaliar...

 

dont trip report it to your bank and they should have investigators on it in no time..........if you sit around youll never see your money again.

 

The limo company had to pick the guy up somewhere right? Maybe you can get an address from them.

 

That sucks, everyone should just use credit or debit cards...its a new millenium, checks are so out of date.

yea you should fight it, my parents have gotten alot of checks, that we sent out for bills, etc, and they came back cleared with diff. amount of money and name on it, seems like they washed it or something. one check, the guy was even stupid enough, he made it out to himself. well, anyway we just call up the bank and they investigate and return the money to the account, hmm, they should do something. good luck though.

i work for a bank, and no, it is not "our fault". granted, it sucks but thats life. People bitc* when you ask for their licenses and then get upset when this happens. I am not refering to anyone here, btw, just in general. At my bank (credit union actually) if you have a police report and complain we refund the money. just my .02

Yea that's sad truth. But u should consult a lawyer. Also go to the places where thief purchesed with checks and complain to them. And if that does not work take them, bank and businesses where checks were used, to court.
