The last few days my clutch has been making a weird clicking noise when I engage it. It's like a small "popping" as the clutch pedal is depressed. It sounds like the cable it self is making the noise, but I can't tell for sure. The noise is coming off the driver’s side and what sounds to be in front of the firewall.

The clutch works fine. It grips correctly and works as well as it always has. Is this something I should worry about? Have they ever been known to break or anything?

it could be your pilot or throw out bearing, those two have been known to make noise when the clutch is depressed. it's nothing i would worry about personally.

Have you checked to make sure the cable assembly is properly tied down? Also, check to see if the noise is coming from the pedal itself and nothing else, it could be something as simple as the pedal spring having gotten weird.

Yeah, I thought it might have been the spring or something else like that. Ever since my Corrados problems there at the end and the few thousand dollars in the hole, any car probs are scaring the CRAP out of me. I know I'm just paranoid. I'm gunna give it a better look in the morning.
