My key gets stuck in the ignition I have to fight with it for 5 minutes every time I turn off my car, usually when I mess with my shift linkage becuase my car is automatic it seems to work but I really have to mess with it. Another issue I have is my shifter can shift out of gear without the key in it, how is this possible and how can I fix this?? thanks guys!!!

I have had a similar problem. Look at the gauge cluster where the shift selector lights are. The "P" has to light up or the key is going to stay in there. Try putting the car in park and wiggling the shifter back and forth until the light comes on. The key will come out then.

As far as the shifting with the car out of gear... what did you do to it? Something is broken in there... like the shifter locking mechanism. Weird.

 

well when I got the car someone messed with it I guess of tried fixing something either way I still have to fix it, I am going to be swaping it for a manual tranny with my b16A motor in 4 months but until then I have to deal with my key being stuck poor me, anyone know what the prob is so I can fix it or replace it.
