Default Looking into a new car alarm. What is a good brand/model #?

Seeing as I am kinda new to this arena and I don't like the alarm I have now, it came with the car. I want to get something better. I have $300 to spend on the alarm. That is $300 total, after taxes shipping etc if and when applicable.

So give me your ideas. Thank you.

It all lies in the installation. Any alarm really is only as good as the install. Think.. Back-up battery!! Hood Lock!! dummy relays and extra siren mounted in a sneeky place. That should stall a theif for an additional 1-2 mins. Anycase good luck **** the glock.

Probably do it myself. Electronics are easy enough.

I recommend the Viper500 esp, great alarm. Most places will sell these for $300 with installation and a lifetime warranty IF bought and installed by a authorized DEI shop.
