Default Suspension Question: Zeal or JIC and what spring rates

I have finally saved up enough money to do my suspension. I am just trying to decide between The Zeal S6 and the JIC FLTA2/FLA2-RS. I have heard the S6 is really good but JIC has a location in L.A. where I can get them rebuilt instead of having to send them to Japan like the Zeals. Just wondering what people's opinions are on the two. My second question involves spring rates. My car is an driven everyday, I drive alot in the canyons, and I'll auto-x every now and then. I want superior handling and I like having a really stiff ride. JIC recommends 10/7, but they, as well as Zeal, have customizable spring rates. I was wondering if I should go with higher spring rates , since some people on this board, such as DEE, are running much higher rates on daily driven cars.

I was pretty much in the same boat as you a few months ago, I decided to go with the zeal b6, there was a post which gave a review of the service a h-t.com member recieved from zeal. I'm pretty sure they have an office here in the usa. I bought my b6's for 1390.

Why not Koni/GC setup? As far as spring rates I run 350f 450r on my del sol and it is fine on the street. I know plenty of people who run 450f 600r on the street and they say that is not bad.

I think it really depends on your location, where you live has alot to do with how high spring rates you can comfortably run.

Zeal spring rates for the b6 are F 12k R 8k. or 672 and 448 in ibs/in JIC spring rates 9k and 7k. Zeal has been for circuit racing And JIC for drift and street. Both very good in quality and performance. It up to how you drive and what kin of racing your going to be doing.

Zeals can also be rebuilt in LA area. http://www.endlessusa.com

Thanks guys...I'm pretty sure I'm going to go with the JIC, since I have a friend who can get me a good deal.

Silverteg. Did you get the JIC suspension yet? If you do.. how do you like it so far and which coilover did you get. Was it the SF-1 or FLT-A2?

I want to redo my whole suspension setup for auto-x and road racing app.
