Looking for a convertible CRX
yes, as my subject says im looking for a crx conv. I know they exist because i have seen pics. I am realy looking for one quite badly...so if anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.
plus, im selling my crx. It's a 88 SI with the 1.6 bored to a 1.7 with JE pistons, skunk 2 cam, msd ignition, DC cai, OBX 10.3 mm wires, 310 cc injectors, removed washer, battery relocated to trunk, shogun body kit (molded), projection lenses, clear corners and turns, carbon tails, 2" intrax lowering springs, bilstein shocks, 17" tenzo shu-4's in gunmetal,ractive exhaust, no cat,( shaved rear squirter,wiper,hoodsquirters, and antenna), Supra style wing....interior wise i have custom center consol,pioneer cd player, all pioneer speakers,white face guages, two guage pillar pod with temp and oil pressure, removed heater controls, pacesetter short throw shifter, carbon e-brake handle...the list goes on...lol

good luck finding a convertible! I'd jump on one to just have it if I could find one at decent price. They pop up on e-bay (I've seen 2 in 3 years but I'm not always looking) but the are spendy (freaking sellers think they have gold)
Why not save all the work you did to your crx and find a shop that will do the convertable conversion for you. Thats all that happened with the convertable crx's youve seen in pics. When the crx was still new around 91-92 a shop (with the initals TT... hence CRX-TT) did a handful of these conversions. Im sure you could find a shop that will do it, it will just cost you.
1.6 bored to a 1.7 using only pistons? i would like to see some proof on that one. a .020 bore will pull out approximately 20cc's, so to get 100cc's, you would need to bore it about .10 (100 thousandths.) that is just under 1/8 of an inch. that would weaken the sleeves considerably, not to mention, i have never seen or heard of a .10 over piston. i would like to hear more about your motor setup. thanks.
