Tires...
I ALREADY DID A SEARCH!!! There is not one post that compares a 215/45/17 size tire to a 205/55/15 size tire.
So, how do these sizes compare performance wise? I already know which tires are stickier, what not.

well the 215 45 17 is going to be much better in hard corners and at high speeds, but the 205 55s will give a nicer ride and be better at the drag strip.
it's hard to really compare, each tire has it's pros and cons, what are you looking for?

Daily driven car, do not plan on going to the strip (maybe 1-2x's to get time) do decent amount of city driving (traffic), but also plenty of highway driving and such...Are 17s big enough for our cars or just stick to stock?

well a few years ago 17s might have been good enough, but 18s seems to be the what is needed now if you want people to be like "damn nice wheels".
17s would probably do you fine though or maybe compromise and get 16s.

like the guy posted above, it depends on what you're doing with the car. Quality 15" rims + tire can weigh in the 20-25lb range. If you're doing auto-x, strictly speed, etc... go light weight and sticky tires, like Azenis. If you're going for show, go with some 18's.. i had some tsw's that with tire weighed nearly 50lbs with some Parada's. Decent tires, but wouldn't say a performance tire.
My $.02 is, an Accord is for show, not go, that's why I went with the "show" factor and went with bigger rims.
