Default Loosing whole tank of coolent after 40 miles, Engine Hesitation, etc

Ok i have a few problems. I just installed a built b18bottom end with a b20 head.
motor has 5500 miles. Head gasket has 700 along with clutch

Heres my problem

I go through a whole thing of coolent about every 40-50 miles. I know for a fact my radiator is leaking i can see coolent comming out and my radiator smokes after like a 20 min drive.
But also it seems to be blowing white smoke/vapor. i know if that is the case it is a bad headgasket...but im not so sure because its like 20 degrees out so every car blows steam right now, just seems like mine does it more. But the headgasket is brand new!!! how can it be bad (i have a block guard if that matters) And i jsut changed oil there is NO coolent in the oil. Or could it be i just hafta retorque the head....i have ARP Head Studs

Also at 0-2500 rpm once in a while it will hesitate...like it dosent want to go newhere then after 2-3 seconds...it just like "catches up" and takes off. usually only in 1st or 2nd: I have changed, fuel and oil filter, plugs, pcv valve as well when i put motor in.

Also seems to have lost some power dosent seem to be pulling like it should guess it could be the head gasket if its blown or if the head needs re-torqued

Im getting a new radiator soon so then i can tell if it will loose alot of coolent after that.

Also my car takes for ever to warm up like 20 min. and if im driving it dosent warm up but if im at a stop it goes up quick but dosent over heat...goes to normal operating temp.... i have disconted my fan relays and had them hardwired to a switch in the cabin of my car. could it be just that i dont have fans on. or is it thermostat

also my plugs had 1000 miles on them only and they were completely white and dry...i mean it was all pretty much white. why is that....is it runnin lean...if so why?

I think thats all.
thanks alot and someone pleaseee help no one seems to know the answer

be sure to let us know when you put in that new radiator...
also about the white plugs, this could be any number of things, such as...

* Incorrect spark plug (too hot heat range).

* Low octane fuel.

* Timing is not set properly.

* Cooling problems, (dirty cylinder fins, no or low water if water cooled, low or no engine oil).

* Carburetor air/fuel mixture is too lean (too much air).

just some thoughts...good luck.

and i just put new spark plugs in thsi week and they are they right ones

thanks neway

sounds like you have a LOT of air in your coolant system if you keep having to add all the time, causing it to take a long timee to heat up.

As for the coolant,

does your muffler smell like burnt coolant? Start with the radiator, it may be that simple, as the leak can be worse whe you are driving and it is under pressure. (pump & heat)

i think ur right about air. because i didnt fill up the coolent correctly when installing motor....im dumb i know
and when teh car was on underpressure there was a leak on one of the lines but i replaced it and i cant see another one. so im guessing radiator + air in lines

but what about my performance loss? what could be causing that
and why is it seemed to be running lean

thank u alot
