general concensus (taking all the numbers i've seen and averaging em) you usually see about 110 flywheel hp
they're barely faster than a stock a6
get 92+ single cam zc...they have vtec
like mine

Also depends on what year and enigne code. Some have 129hp. GO to the bottme of the link I posted, click on any engine code for specs.

92+ single cam zc bolts right into a 90 civic hb without new mounts n such, right?

I got a SOHC ZC with bolt ons. my best was a 15.4........hey for 400 bucks and you run 15s you cant go wrong. and yes the SOHC ZC is a straight drop in just swap intake manifolds from an A6 and your set to go.
Good thing I kept all that MPFI swap stuff I was going to throw it all away. I have So intake manifold,si ECU, and distributor. So what do you fella's think I'll run with a gutted HF w/ no passenger seat everything out except dash. With just the intake manifold swap from the Si and a CAI by HP Racing. Haven't got exhaust yet. I was looking at the chrome header off of ebay. What do you think I'll run?

single cam zc with vtec? not now, not ever...

and on the stock a6 running 16.5... a friend of mine with a BONE STOCK 90 si hatch ran a 16.0 with 220,xxx on the clock, all hard *** miles. the motor had ben run ENTIRELY out of oil 3 or 4 times, and it still ran a 16 flat with no stripping, all stock.
and i've yet to see a single cam non vtec zc outrun an a6. they're too even to compare, its pretty much the same god damn motor
another friend of mine has a single cam zc in an 89 civic si, with a shitty lightspeed intake, centerforce duel friction clutch, dc header, and custom catback...he got raped by the kid with the a6 powered hatch...and honestly i think the guy with the single cam zc is a better driver
maybe that a6 is a monday motor...but still, single cam zc's arent that great
if the b16's got beat by zc's, they need to learn how to drive

i think i need to start racing some cars and compare
the only time i kinda raced was with a 2000 lude (auto)
i kept up pretty good... lost by about 1.5 - 2 car lengths (im stock btw)

sohc zc (MPFi) was rated at 120ps (118hp). once on a dyno it puts out the same numbers as A6.
sohc ZC vtec found in 92-5 CIvic/domani is nothing more then d16z6 (btw. I have one in my hatch so they do exist) (rated at 130ps - 128hp) but on a dyno most will put out same power as USMD counter parts.
JDM motors are rated higher due to their ECU programming/octane used and few other small factors (ie. exhaust manifolds/mufflers and cats (or lack of))

Basically it boils down to this. No one will ever really know. This topic has been brought up numerous times and we have never got a straight answer...I can give you guys this..
piston code PM7
Bore 75.0mm
Stroke 90.0mm
Head gasket thickness 0.048
Compression height 1.141in (1.161)
Piston to deck clearance 0.040 (0.020)
Dome dish Volume 7.2 (-3.4)
Chamber volume 43.8 (38.0)
Compression 9.5:1 (9.1:1)
(d16a6)
I have a sohc ZC in my car but I have about everything you can put on it and an lsd...so I really cant compare it to my stock a6.

That's for a DOHC, he wants SOHC
