Default Swapping a 94+ console into my 93

Yes, I have searched, but didn't get an answer.

I have removed the console from my 93 to swap it with a 95, but it looks like I will have to swap the E-brake cables as well as come up with a way to mount the E-brake handle. Has anyone done this mod to their lude yet? What exactly has to be done?

i've done this, it wasn't easy but worth of it 93 console sucks!
u don't have to swap the E-brake cables, just make an extension to part on e-brake which holds cables and weld it to e-brake.
To mount e-brake i welded two bolts to the car, finding best position is the worst thing.

so how did you go about finding the right position? i'm doing this mod as we speak. do you have measurements of your mounting spots for the e-brake? i plan to just drill holes into the car and screw the bolts into the spot. until i get it fixed i have no e-brake. the console and cupholder are worth it for the time being.

I'm actually looking it at it. the e-brake cables are coming out of a hole directly behind the '93 e-brake. If i move the '93 ebrake over, the cables would be coming in at an angle which couldn't mean anything good. I know you said you welded a piece of metal to extend like an arm to hold the cables but now?

this would be a great write up.

is there not a way to get longer e-brake cables and replace the ones being used in the '92-93? I figured that would solve part of the problem
