88 HF rear brakes, can't get parts here in canada.
Can anyone tell me if the rear brake pads/drums/cylinder changes up to anything on another car? I know that I had to use 87 CRX front brake pads. Do 1st gen rex rear brake parts work on my 88 HF. I don't want to have to order from an american honda dealership. Stupid jerks and not offering the HF in canada. Or stupid me for buying one.
if this is a 88-91 CRX, and it has rear drums you can use parts from a 88-91 DX or 88-89 CRX. Cann't use 90-91 b/c they have rear disc brakes
thats a new one on me. Almost positive that there the same. check part # thru http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/
checked through there, but there are so many numbers. From what I can see the DX uses #61440 and the HF uses #61441. However they all seem to use the same# shoes. Anyone wanna take some time to confirm this.
Yes, they are the same. I have 88 Si drums and 90 DX/HF Porterfield shoes on my 90 HF. I also replaced the wheel cylinders and they are the same also.
