I'm going to be purchasing an accord lx shortblock to replace mine after the incident. I just want to make sure for certain, I won't have to do any mods to out my Accord EX head on it.

hrm, what makes you think its a joke? I don't see any or the like in the post, its question that I want an answer to before I spend the money on the block. I have asked around and so has the seller, no one has said for certain it would work.

Currently there is a vtec motor in my car w/ a giant hole in the block. I have located a LX bottom end from a member here. I wanted to make sure it would work before I bought it, thats all.

KG, if it turns out I need to replace the head as well, i'll shoot you an email or something.

My little brother was driving it, he said the oil light came on for a sec, then BOOM! Best guess I have come up w/ is the oil pump failed, or just through a rod. The motor had ~190k miles on it, the last 110k miles have been very hard on it w/ track days, autoxs, drag racing, etc. Plus it has been hydrolocked twice, so I was kinda expecting it to go.

There was still oil in the motor and oil pan. So i don't think that was it.

Did anyone notice the topic spelling? "Reguarding"? Do you mean "regarding"?
