most people know that the location is under your avatar ... not to be a smart ***, but that's what it's there for
FL = Florida for the ones that don't know

ouch and http://www.redshift.ca is very expensive... nippon is cheaper, osaka is lowest, but has a horrible rep and I'm afraid I'll be screwed out an engine

Just remember, you get what you pay for.
I paid $550 for a long block a year ago. JDM with paper work and it had 29K on it. I was very happy with it too.

I was wondering why everybody is so stuck on the ZC. If you have an SI keep your single cam. I have found more aftermarket parts for the single cam than the ZC. Save your money and do a swap worth doing.
it cost more to rebuild the a6 and a zc is cheaper and has more hp than a a6 stock...thats why ill probably go zc unless i have the $$$ and time for a b16a swap...the a6 is a awesome sohc imo..seems pretty tuff and reliable
Not to mention teh ZC loves high revs alot more than the stock SOHC a6 motor, F aftermarket parts...keep really good oil in that motor and you have nothing to worry about. I have plans to pick up some lighter and wider rims, already have a friend working on custom exhaust. Put some Cams in and thats going to be all the fun I need. That motor not only sounds great but again loves to rev anywhere between 4500 and 7200, even though max power is at 6800. With a good enough oil you can live between those RPMs and have great performance....my personal favorate is Mobil 1 tri synthetic 10W30 from spring through fall.
Not to mention the cams are lighter than B16 Vtech cams allowing the revs to pick up quicker as well as having a thicker crank allowing you to abuse that motor alot more.
B16 is great but I know people who have driven them and crapped on my ZC forever till till he drove my car for 2 months and had to give that motor more credit then he had been. Even considering it a cheaper alternative. If you want NA and you dont want to pay mutch for it and you dont want to get a whole bunch of bolt ons that offer untold gains of power that you really dont need to have a fun car, then I would highly consider it.
If you feel like spending alot of money to have a car thats capable of running on a track with some pros and waist it by never letting it see track time...sure, get a B series. Im not against it....just not up for spending the money and doing that mutch work when I can have a great little motor thats going to give me lots of fun.
Im picking up my ZC from NoyanUSA.com for 550 with pappers and warrenty for free replacements if anything internal goes. I had one before and im all for getting this one.

Don't get me wrong I am not saying that the motor is complete ****. I am just saying that the single cam and the ZC isn't a huge difference. I mean for $700 (average ZC cost) you can have your single cam running strong as hell. You could stay away from the zc save another few hundred bucks and do a B18a swap good torque and they run strong. I'll never be happy with any other B series Vtec after my Type R.
I would call up a place by the name of K. Watanbe. They have offices all over Southern California, and I'm almost positive they ship motors nation wide.
And...$450 for a SOHC ZC??? That's outrageous! I got mine from K. Watanabe for $150, w/ a warranty.

Go to SKN motors in Gardena, CA.........I got my DOHC ZC For $250.00, they are a import motor house which also carries b16, b18, and b20's, they might carry the K series engines as well.
SKN Motors in Gardena, California....can't go wrong.
