I know the engine is not going to be at its full potential without it but in terms of safety (detonation) is it nessecary to have the combustion chamber enlarged for the increased air flow from the extra .2 liters?
Because of the larger boreof the block, isn't it neccessary to enlarge the quench pads to prevent the piston from hiting the head?
This a question i have asked before, but can someone give a good explaination to why you HAVE to match the combustion chamber to the block??? i would like buy a built 2ltr bottomend, but not have to send my head out again to have this matched up.

job you wont be able to take full advantage of the displacement
