Default B16a throttle cable issue... I think

I have a 91 crx si with a B16a. I've noticed that while driving, that the speed drops when I haven't moved my foot. when I press just a little harder, there seems to be an unsticking feel and the car accelerates. it does this over and over. not toooo noticable, but I just took the car in for emissions and they said they couldn't do it because they couldn't maintain a constant speed.

The throttle body doesn't seem to be sticking, could this be the result of a streched cable? I'll probably replace it, but is there anything else that it could be?

it's red. has 96 GSR rims, and a SIR wing on the back. If you haven't seen it before, you'll see it now. I just put on a black ZC hood.

Does anyone know which throttle cable I should get? will the si cable be long enough, or should I get a 90-93 integra cable?

The si cable should be ok. Maybe your cable is binding somewhere or it's just getting sticky.

Switch your o2 sensors around.

The previous post mentions the O2 sensor. My '90 Civic Si would surge due to a lazy O2 sensor.

A quick test... with the engine and exhaust sytem thoroughly warmed up, try to hold a steady rpm of bout 2500. Does it vay +/- 50 rpm? If so, your O2 sensor is the cause. As for maintaing a steady speed, I didn't have that problem other than the slight surging.
