Can you tell me if a HF manifold can be used as a turbo manifold on a b16a engine & if there is any mods that need to be done.

 

Won't work HF is D-Series and B16 isn't. Sorry man.

 

The HF manifold is a D series, meaning it will only bolt to D series heads. The B16/B18 heads are bigger and the port spacing is much farther apart than on a D series. So no, it will not work.

 

Is there any cheep turbo manifolds out on the market

 

hks makes some nice ones.

 

My best advice to you would be to shop around. Most turbo manifolds are gonna run you around $400 for a decent one, but you may be able to find a deal. Check the forced induction forum, someone may be selling on there.
