Default hybrid engine question

does anyone know if it's possible to swap a b-series head onto a d-series block?

i've got a d15 stock engine and am thinking of swapping a b16 head onto it, and was wondering if this were possible...
any help would be great.

thanks a lot.

hey, thanks a lot for your smart *** reply. i really appreciate being welcomed with open arms.
i'm so bloody sorry i'm a newbie to the forum. i don't exactly have all day to spend drooling over my car seeing as how i'm a student who's trying to get an education so i can get a REAL job, something that's probably far over your head.

next time someone new asks you a question, maybe instead of writing them off as stupid you should ask them why they want to know.
i mean, come on...i'm sure you're not the ONLY source of real intelligence on the web.

sorry if i offended your quite obviously superior intellect with my poor and unworthy question.

jackass.

(i don't really care how many forum rules i'm violated or if i get kicked off, for this)

you need to lighten up, man. it was an off the wall question that i didn't have time to look up right away. i thought i'd post a question to people who might know bore measurements and bolt patterns etc to be able to tell me either way.

just because i'm new and ask a strange question doesn't mean i'm an idiot.

go f%^& yourself.

Chill out.

this is a relatively legitimate question. You didn't know.

To compare the motors side by side, it's very clear that the b-block is way bigger, you know, like a b16 block and a d16 block may have the same displacement, but the b block has much larger bore, and is just generally larger.

Keep on honda-techin.

I'd personally suggest swapping for a d16z6 if you're looking for an economy swap, that will be fun.

to clarify: my rude responses were aimed at pennies_hatch and Civichatch972, for their more than unceremonious answer to my question.

to those of you who replied with civility to my post, thank you.
it's good to know that some people can accept lack of knowledge and experience for what it is, and not for stupidity.

to those of you who were rude:
it was just a question, and i didn't think it would work, but i also didn't think there was any harm in asking, either.

guess i was wrong. well, it's at least good to know that unabashed ignorance and stupidity haven't totally left the planet...if they did, i'd be out of a job.

again, thanks to those who politely answered me.

Well, you only get like 1 more post for the day, i'd suggest putting it towards something useful.

Good luck.
