Default Is it possible?

Wondering if it would be possible to put not one, but two b16 or b18 engines into a 4th gen civic hatch or crx (i think the crx might be to small). One in the front and one in the back. I've seen it done on a hyndai tiberon but never on a honda. If it is possible, how difficult would it be to fit the one in back and have everything work and not blow up . If it is possible i think it would be one awsome little ride. I'm sure it would cost you both arms and legs.

That Hyundai was 2 identical new engines and automatic transmissions. You would need a whole school of engineers to make it work with 2 used engines and manual trannies.

hey it can be done!

they are doing a project track car in Honda Tunning magazine, check it out.
It is done with a 90 civic si. they reweled the rear to support a B16. Looks tight if you ask me.

what they are trying to do is make a HONDA car that is suitebale to drifting like (toyota 86, silvia, ect)
So they are puting a Motor in the rear hatch if the civic si hb. I would love to drive that kinda car. It would take a lot of work but would certainly be ONE-OF-A-KIND honda drifter.

If you are just talking about rear engine then there are less things to worry about.

I'm sure you've seen the picture of the CRX (major repost) that has the old engine up front and in the rear it has a small block. He drives around on the front engine/tranny to get good gas mileage, but to race or drive fast he flips a switch, folds the honda engine gas pedal out of the way and drives on the rear engine.

Also, Jay Leno (yes, of the tonight show, he's a major car nut), owns a Ford Festiva with a Ford Taurus SHO engine/tranny mounted in the rear of it, the passenger compartment is blocked off from the engine with a heavy sheet of plexiglass. That thing is cool!
