I got my '95 GS-R new, & I remember there was a "Special Edition" Integra. It just had the GS-R 15" wheels & the door tweeter speakers & stuff like that. It didn't have the VTEC engine or the close-ratio gearbox. You could even get the special edition with an automatic trans.

ive never known the SE integras to have the same wheels as the GSR....
i have a 95 SE and it came with the 95 5 spoke GSR wheels, its just an LS with a couple upgrades, but mine did not come with the doortweeters maybe the newr ones did though.
The special edition in non vtec, it is basically the same as a GS model which replaced it. My buddy has a SE so I know it is not vtec.

Swap an LS motor and tranny into a GS-R, and you will have a Special Edition. That's pretty much what it is.

My mom had a 1995 Special Edition. Basically, all it was, was an LS with leather, GS-R rims, and spoiler for the coupe.. NO spoiler for the 4 door. The door tweeters were not standard, and were an option. My mom's had them, but I've seen a special edition without the door tweeters. Basically it was an "all show and no go" GS-R..........
The Special Edition model is not a GSR. I'm pretty sure it had all the options the GSR had except the VTEC engine.
i own a 1997 special edition silver. and it did come with 1997 gsr mesh rims. because in 97 mesh rims were gsrs. and my car has leather, cruise, sunroof, and tweeters. it pretty much has everything.

yes, i have been fooled myself, even the badge almost looks like the vtec badge until you can get close enough to read it
ways to tell if its a GSR.
8k rpm redline
4 wheel disk brakes
engine block has B18C1 stamped on it.
VIN # has DC2 in it for 2 Dr GSR or DB8 for 4dr GSR.
DOHC VTEC badge and on valve cover - both of which can be faked.
Engine stamp and VIN number are the best ways.
