Default Aite before i say this,, im thinking the same thing,, WTF? b18 in a 5th gen Accord.

Aite today i ran into this guy in a two door 97 Accord.. We where just messing around from stop light to stop light.. He was rippin really hard.. I was like wha!??
then he pulls into a parking lot at a burger joint, i keep going and decide to turn around, to see whats up with this accord. I meet up with him he is sitting there eating im like whatsup and so one and whatnot.. I ask him whats up with his accord im like damn thats pretty quick. HERE IS WHERE IM LOST! I SWAPPED THE F22 FOR A B18.. im like WHAT?!?!?!?! I had him pop the hood and sure enough its a B18... I told him,, damn i have never seen this before.. I said why didnt you roll with a H series motor.. he said to me.. WHY? the b18 has more power then the f22 right? i said yes of course.. And the h22 has more power then a stock b18 correct? i was like yea. He tells me then why not put a motor that you can pick up for as cheap as ****,, and that you can build the **** out of? I said,, well that makes sence... And it does make sence.. But im curious as to why i havent seen more b18 swaps into accords.. To me it doesnt make much sence still.... I mean... A person just doenst see that everyday.. But it did rip! your thoughts people... this is really making me think.

Because b-series engines have **** for torque that's why. I'm sure if he's not driving *****-to-the-wall all the time it gets annoying to drive the car

horsepower gets you nowhere, its all about torque and power to weight

B18s in any accord but a 3rd gen is just retarded, i have seen a 94 sedan with a b18c1 before, I/H/E ran a 15.7, woopee, what a waste of time and money. With the money he spent on his b18 swap he could have gotten a turbo kit for his F and been alot faster. B18s are more expensive than H22a's, that makes this even more retarded. He did a swap to pick up 25hp and and to lose 20ft/lbs of torque? ive heard and seen it all, what a joke, id show him some tailights in my slow h22a accord, what a joke

Nick,, i know what you are sayin and that does make sence.. except around here kids are pickin up b18 left and right for the civic HBs for like 500 bucks with tranny... i dont know what the deal is...

and i dont think i would ever swap a b18 into my accord ever.. if i had my n2o rolling when i raced.. i would have killed him.. being that n2o doubles torque.. and being it did seem like this kid was on it really hard the whole time.. it makes sence...
