how many miles are on your engine? Your piston rings might be bad...either way you prolly need either a tune up or a whole rebuild

Mine burns oil as well, my valve seals are bad and also I have a valve tick. I dont think that a tune up would help try some Lucas oil that stuff works real well.

how about you dont go out and spend a crapload of money on things it "may" be. How about you go out and you actually diagnose what it is? This in my opinion is what is wrong with online forums and it also shows you just how bad the tech knowledge has gone online.

Check to see if the ecu is throwing codes, depending on that check whats wrong. Check compression to see if its your rings. Dont jump to any conclusions, jumping to conclusions in our hobby can get extremely expensive, very quickly.

my compression for all 4 cylinders is 180 psi which is undoubtedly good so the problems gotta be in the head
the valve ssstem seals is what i was told....
i will try some of that special oil to help it out.

You can run a thicker oil, it might help, like 20-50w but just don't go thinner afterwards

what ever you do dont put the smoke b gone **** in it... but im sure you know that.... it makes your gaskets swell to stop leak but at the same time it reduces gasket performance and they will blow and youll be worse off, if i was you i would fix the leaky gaskets and send your head in for a rebuild sorry about your cat it might be a good idea just to rebuild the motor so it can handle any mods you plan on doing............. . old motor+hp=somke, clicks, beeps, leaks, rattles and rolls just an idea tho...
