thats **** looks pointless... i mean unless that big to small tube is somehow tapperd inside.. from the outside it just looks like the air coming in will just hit a flat round surface and go into a smaller tube. and i dont think they make it for crx's... Im positive they have it for the 99-00 si you can make that work.

It's made because everyone who is interested in cars in the last 3 years has bought one and now they have very limited amount of customers. So now they make the AEM INTAKE MEGA 2000 and they hope that people will think they need it.

I don't know about that (and no, i don't own anything from AEM). I've read about this thing and they've redesigned it - I read somewhere it made 16 hp in a 1996 Civic EX

I wonder how many cars they tried before making 16hp with the intake? Assuming that that is possible...

That POS looks like some old stupid big *** intake that was a made a few years back, I cant remember who made it. I remember it was smooth though. I beleive it was Weapon R... Either way thats ******* stupid........ Ill stick with my old AEM setup. I guess they arent selling enough of the plug and play AEM engine managment systems at 2500 bucks a pop....

It's not likely that that intake will be made for the CRX/Civic chassis due to the larger 4" diameter piping. There's no where to put it in our cars without relocating the battery, and there are no holes that are large enough to shove that thing through.

i assume there is a velocity stack inside that tube, in which case it will work much better than a straight-through design.

I am really new to these cars. Does comptech make an icebox for 4th gens? Just trying to figure out what intake is best.

comptech does not make anything for 4G cars, unfortunately.
AEM, or even a home made CAI will do. or make your own icebox-type intake.

P.S. BUT...who needs a CAI when you can have FI?!

Tuner Performance Reports (TPR) magazine did a intake shoot out.. and the V2 was one of the CAI that was tested. all the results from the dyno are in this mag.. and i can tell you right now it did not make 16hp. The test were done on a 99si. You should pick it up if you see it in the newstands.. it will be out soon.. its a very intresting book.
