Default GS-R Drivers???

I have a 97gsr and I have cloth seats instead of leather. I have a friend who told me this is rare? So I thought I would find out.

It's just optional. But it's more uncommon to see cloth than leather in a GSR.

Didn't leather become standard from 98-on?

I think pre 1999 GSR all came with cloth unless ordered with Leather (GSR-L, really! thats what the dealers call them!)

After 99 all GSR came with leather..

Indeed. Gotta love the leather though. Everything is leather from the shifter, to the steering wheel to door panels. The girls dig the leather

screw leather. the leather used in integras is some of the worst ive ever seen. Very thin and cracks easily within a few years of new. Even if taken care of.

my gsr has cloth too, & on top of that no keyless entry. i know what your friend means about it being rare, before my car i don.t think i.d ever seen a gsr without cloth and keyless entry. i.m guessing the previous owner of the car got talked into paying more for the gs-r & was too cheap to get all the options (trying to save some money since he opted for the more powerful engine). i actually prefer cloth since it doesn.t get all cold/hot but 98 gsr cloth int. like mine looks ugly as ****.

my leather seats have aged quite well. mine have been in my car for 8 years now and i have no cracks. granted, i use leather conditioner and i take care of them...but that's just normal maintenance.

If you clean and condition your leather like I do, you won't have to worry about them cracking. Keep them maintained and the females love it when they sit down and the leather's all warm and squishy.
