he need to move the tube about a 1/2 inch forward. have him put ti in 5th gear once its loosened that way he knows how much clearance he has. i think it kind of explains it in the install intructions.

 

my friend had that same problem with his rsx-s with the cai.

i forgot what he did, but i've heard about people shaving down the shifter linkage so it clears the cai.

 

I had the same problem. Just rotate the CAI half an inch forward and clearance is fine from then on.

 

loosen all of the hardware attaching the cai...and point the filter up....you'll notice up is also clockwise when concerning how it attaches to the throttle body. so just rotate it up (c.w) a little, and it will clear.

 

I had trouble with mine. The shift linkage nearly put a hole in the intake. AEM warrantied it though and sent me a new one.

 

that's exactly why i got teh dc- it even came w/ a new washer resevoir-viola; easy install! good hp too!
