Default h series tranny mount question

I have been reading through old posts for a half hour now but can't find the one i am looking for.

I have an h22 with an h23 transmission in my accord, which is a 91 4 door ex that was originally auto. I did the auto to manny swap about 5 months ago, but never resolved the issue of cutting off the old auto tranny mount and welding on the 5 speed mount. I had the tranny mount in the car but it was not bolted to anything.

So yesterday i blew my clutch out and i have to change it, but would like to actually bolt the tranny up this time
I read in a previous post some time ago a debate on whether it was actually necessary to cut off and weld on the new mount, i remember reading some people did have to and some didn't. I think the people who said they didn't have to weld a new one on were using the prelude transmission mount (the part that actually bolts to the tranny) and were having no problems with fitment, engine sitting straight, etc.

Can someone please confirm this because I would like to go about fixing this problem without having to get my ish welded.
