I have someone who is selling his 2001 Type R rear bumper in CW. I want
to do a 98 conversion on my 96, is there any difference between a 98+ GSR rear bumper and a Type R rear Bumper? Will it fit? Thx

The color is Championship White as mentioned above.

I'm going to get it re-painted to Milano Red, I just wanted to know if a Type R 01 bumper will fit on a 96 GSR ?

 

I'm pretty sure the front bumper won't fit....but I don't know about the rear bumper, but I assume that it won't....the only advice I can give is to try it

 

I didn't want to spend $200 and then find out it won't fit my 96 and be stuck trying to sell a Type R Rear Bumper... Thx for the help

the rear will fit, the only diff between the year rear is the 98+ has like the lip slot int he bumper, and the pre 98 dont . the front the diff is in the headlights.

 

94-01 rear bumper: coupes fit coupes, 4drs fit 4 drs
94-01 front: as long as you have the appropriate lights, all are interchangable

 

yea it will fit no probs.. i've been doign some research.

now i have a question for some of you.. is the 98 black color way different than 95 black? my bumper is really messed up and have found a few people selling some 98+ rear bumpers... will the color match decent or will it look WAY off?

 

IMO, even if it is the same color, it won't match your car, due to sun oxidation, clear coat, etc.. You'll have to paint it.

 

I know the difference on the 98+ rear and front's as opposed to the 94 - 97, but what I'm reading is that the Type R rear bumper just has a lip that the GSR rear 98+ doesn't have, but it will fit..

 

Type R bumpers do not have a lip. They are the same as all other integras. If it does have a lip, it is part of the OEM kit or it's aftermarket.
