Taking off OEM wing!!!
Couldn't find an answer in the archives. Curious if anyone can help me on this. Once the OEM top deck wing is taken off the car, how do you disconnect the plastic piece containing the brake light from the metal piece that attaches to the rear hatch? Any info would be great. Thanks in advance.
yea its a clip/socket connector rtight?? If so then use screwdriver...
Thanks for all the info.

When I took mine off. I disconnected all the bolts, then unclipped the connector for the light and also disconnected the hose for the rear window washer. I think I had to move the window up and down a little to get it to come off without hitting the paint. But it took about a minutes to do the whole thing. Maybe you missed a bolt somewhere?
I got that far... to the point where the wing is off the car but the prob is disconnecting the wing into the two peices. Thanks for all the help so far everyone.

I lost you when you said "disconnecting the wing into the two peices" what did you mean by that? Do you mean from the car or? I am not sure.

i never figues it out yet too, would be nice to know
So do you want to take just the wing off and leave the other piece on? Or are you putting on an aftermarket wing?
I found this pic in my search process on H-T. It's not my pic but I hope it helps explain my dilemna. Just imagine the SiR wing on the left MINUS the attaching metal piece that EH wing on the right (shown here in white) does have.
