89 RexSi, Wont start??? Turns on rev's to 2500, then KaPut....Dead????
I put a H22 in my rex, and upon completing the wiring, the engine turns, and seems like it wants to start, But dosent, I have fuel, spark, and a headache, But question being, If the CYP CKP, were reversed would it run for a moment then die, or just not run, Im 99% sure the dizzy is right,
BUT There were 2 extra wires attached to the harness at the Inj. Resistor box, that were not used, Its not the Green clip , But the white one, in there there are the GR/Yel/Blu/Red inj. wires, then a Blk/Yel, Yel/Blk( these two I guessed on, Dont know what they are(no helms), and then there are a Lght. Blue, and a Blu/wht
left over on clip,
Can anyone help Identify these 4 wires........Blk/Yel...Yel/Blk...Blu...Blu/wht.
Thanks for any input..............

I've searched all archived posts, and there are similar problems to mine but, main relay is 65.00 new, so its not that, I got fuel, How about Sequential Firing vs. Batch firing, Anyone care to comment on that? Thats gotta be it, Wiring is right, no codes are being thrown, Plenty of fuel pressure, it just sounds like it get fuel for a moment, runs...... then dies, as if there is no continous fuel, new filter, old gas, but new mixed in w/ inj. cleaner? It has to be those wires?
Anyone have a helms manuel on the 89 rexSi? and could look at what those wires are and the color, vs. where they went on the crx,
Someone please...

alright i had a similar problem with a CRX i did a swap on .....it turned out to be a ground wire ....it turns out that the ground by the starter was not connected properly and the car would start sometimes and would cut off but there was aclicking sound too...i would say definately check the grounds first than check on those wires..Good luck

What mounts did you use? So you have to use some device so that the clutch cable works w/ the hydro tranny right?
Check the coolant level and also check for air in the system had a similar problem with my swap. Let the car run for 10 15 minutes with the rad cap off to get the coolant flowing and the air out, then top it up.
Well after 6 hrs, of hit or miss, I found that the Blue/Yel comming out of the 8 wire plug that has inj. wires in it goes to the IACV valve, and the Blk/Yel out of the same clip goes to the Blk/yel on Dist. That means there is only a solid blue left over, which could be the same blue that runs along to dist, ( It dosent tone out ) or maybe that wire goes hot inconjunction w/ the injectors? Anyone know where the blue on dist gets its throw from? I played around with the CYP and CKP wires and no different. I mean ****.. Gotta be something, I have no O2 sensor, but it would just run rich.. Anyway..
Place Racing, "BUT", Mount Placement as far as there concerned, is as far foward so nothing has to be done to the rear firewall, In Tern putting the axles in a fucked location rubbing against the inside of your lower strut fork.
Ya mounts are clean, welds are pretty dam well on the money, If only the ****** would start..

I finallyt gor it, it was the solid blue that had to go to a blu/blk wire to distribute the throw to the solid blue on dist. The only issue now is some open vaccum, and how to read codes on a lude, can anyone help?????
