my 88 CRX has the battery in the back so there is lots of room and i want a cold air intake that goes strait to the hole in the fender. which car should the CAI be for? thanks...
I'm *pretty* sure you use the 99-00 Civic Si Intake. Most people I know have used this successfully.

For those who have the Civic Si AEM - how close to the rear of the headlights does it go? I've got projectors, and had to halve my PRM and leave it in the engine bay, since the bend put the tube at the rear of the projectors.
TIA!
TIA!
Why not make a custom one for like 5 bucks from home depot the make this flex **** thats like 2.75 diameter and you can make like 3 cold airs out of its length they give you

so ghetto
Bryant, it's pretty far into the engine bay.
I know that someone was able to re-position the light ***'y so that the bulb pointed up instead of down, which cleared up enough room for the tube to go down through the hole. I'm going to do that, but I think that I'll wait for Jersey to thaw out before I work on the car again. Then I'll be able to tell if I can feed a tube there. Otherwise, might look into MacGuyvering something to go more through the middle of the engine bay, since the battery not being there makes for some other possibilities.

those of you who doubt my "ghetto setup" are fools... It will last as long if not longer than AEM or something... dont hate cause your not creative and know how to save loot.....
for the fools.
for the fools.
i have an Injen one and i love it. the piping is nice and big. Mine was a one piece, and it was raining so i sawed the extension part off, and if i need to put it back on i just use a 3 inch rubber coupling with hose clamps. Dont get a generic brand, the piping may not differ that much from a good brand, but the filter is what you gotta think about. I knew someone that had a cheap *** Matrix intake and the filter literally fell apart, the rubber thats on top of the filter, and the rubber that is on the bottom and connects the filter to the pipe fell off, so the filter element was just sittine there... If you dont believe me ask H-T member "Al-Bundy", he saw it happen also... and the guy didnt even know it happened till he opened his hood, so who knows how long its been like that
